What is Cold Mix Asphalt?

It’s no secret that asphalt is one of the most popular paving materials on the planet, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution. Cold mix asphalt is one of the more basic types of asphalt, and is ideal for repairing things like potholes and small cracks in roadways and pavements. As its name suggests, cold mix asphalt does not require any heating during preparation or application. The downside of cold mix asphalt is that it is not strong or durable enough to provide any permanent solutions beyond simple patches.

Why Choose Hot Mix Asphalt?

This bituminous product is ideal for pavements, roads, car parks, driveways, footpaths, and more that are exposed to heavy daily traffic. Areas like these require a stable and permanent solution that can stand the tests of wear and tear over time. With our Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) services, we can help you achieve just that.

We have decades of experience in producing, inspecting, and testing HMA materials for pavements, roadways, and more. While HMA is costlier than its cold counterpart, it lasts far longer, is weather-resistant, and cools down quickly once applied to keep road closure to a minimum.
