We believe everyone who goes to work should go home healthy and safe, mentally and physically, everyday.

Our health and safety standards underpin all aspects of our business. We set high expectations for the quality of work produced and recognise ‘achieving safety’ is an outcome of this. Rather than health and safety being a standalone or add on in our business, it is just how we operate.

We partner with Health and Safety Consultants at SafeSupport Limited, to continually improve processes and procedures and ensure health and safety is embedded in our business. They know our business and our people extremely well and confidently provide advice and guidance for our specific needs.

Following the ‘high engagement, high performance’ model, our people are engaged to shape our policies, processes, and procedures, so our Health and Safety Management System is for them and by them. To support this on-going engagement, our Health and Safety Representatives work closely between our people in the field and our Health and Safety Committee providing input from the teams and working with the committee to find practical solutions.

Traffica provides training which ensure our people fully understand the key health and safety principles and procedures relevant to their roles.  Our entire team undergo ConstructSafe training, with onsite staff undergoing SiteSafe training. First Aid Training is provided to ensure that we have confident and qualified First Aiders on every project.

We continually work upskill our leaders at all levels which enables them to provide strong health and safety leadership on projects. We give recognition and reward our people are outstanding performance in this area and recognise that good health and safety culture starts from the top. Our Managing Director takes the lead in demonstrating what a good leader is and how that influences positive attitudes and practices incorporating health and safety.
You will see and hear the evidence of this when you visit our teams on site, walk around our premises, or speak to our network. As a company we are majority self-performing but recognise the value of our key specialist subcontractors. We have a long-standing relationship with our subcontractors and thus are bringing them along on our health and safety journey and include them under our systems and safety plans when working together.
